What this can mean
Persistent wet ground can reflect a buried supply leak, but drainage and ordinary water use are other possibilities. Water may emerge downhill or along a trench away from the source. Information about the incoming pipe and outdoor fittings helps.
Useful observations
Explain whether the patch remains in dry weather and where the meter, outdoor taps and outbuildings are located. Mention recent digging or fencing work.
Before taking anything apart
Do not excavate near unknown buried services. Permission and service information must be considered before digging.
How to choose the next step
You can start with the symptoms without diagnosing the pipe. Our garden water pipe leak detection page explains the kind of investigation that may be appropriate. Describe what has changed and share any previous findings so the agreed scope addresses the unresolved problem.
Planning a residential visit
For agreed residential work, the £1,345 package connects specialist investigation with the plumbing repair. It includes detection and tracing, necessary access or excavation, parts and materials, suitable post-repair testing and a Trace & Access report. A 12-month workmanship warranty applies to the repair.
The £100 booking deposit is deducted from the total, leaving £1,245. Applicable tax is included. Decorative and remedial reinstatement, including restoring floors, plaster, paving and other finishes, is excluded. Commercial work is quoted separately. Read the complete package scope before arranging a visit.
