Understand the problem
A shower can appear sound when dry and leak only during use. The supply, waste, tray, enclosure and surrounding surfaces each create different possibilities. Repeatedly resealing a visible joint can miss a fault elsewhere.
Use the timing to separate the possibilities
We establish when moisture starts and which area first shows it. Checks are selected to examine accessible plumbing and appropriate water paths while avoiding unnecessary wetting of already damaged material. The findings guide any targeted opening.
What to prepare
Tell us whether the stain develops during a shower or afterwards. Details of the tray, enclosure and access below it can help; there is no need to remove panels that are not designed for routine access.
Scope matters
A plumbing repair and a shower waterproofing repair are different tasks. We explain when evidence points towards seals, substrates or construction outside the agreed plumbing scope.
Detection through to the plumbing repair
For agreed residential work, the £1,345 package connects specialist investigation with the plumbing repair. It includes detection and tracing, necessary access or excavation, parts and materials, suitable post-repair testing and a Trace & Access report. A 12-month workmanship warranty applies to the repair.
The £100 booking deposit is deducted from the total, leaving £1,245. Applicable tax is included. Decorative and remedial reinstatement, including restoring floors, plaster, paving and other finishes, is excluded. Commercial work is quoted separately. Read the complete package scope before arranging a visit.
Choosing the right method
One method that may be considered is controlled water-path checks. Examine how water use relates to intermittent fitting and bathroom leaks. The engineer selects the approach for the actual installation; no specific instrument is promised for every visit.
