Understand the problem
Bathrooms contain several possible water paths in a small space. A mark below a bath or shower may relate to a supply, a waste connection or water escaping during use. The timing of the leak often provides a stronger lead than the location of the stain.
Investigate one possible source at a time
We discuss which fittings were used and how soon the damage appears. Accessible connections, moisture patterns and suitable controlled checks help distinguish the possibilities. Any need for access is considered alongside the evidence and the bathroom construction.
What to prepare
Describe whether the problem follows showering, bathing, basin use or no use at all. Keep photographs of the affected area and tell us about recent sealant or fitting replacements.
Scope matters
Failed waterproofing or building finishes may need remedial work beyond the agreed plumbing repair. The package does not include retile work or replacing decorative finishes.
Detection through to the plumbing repair
For agreed residential work, the £1,345 package connects specialist investigation with the plumbing repair. It includes detection and tracing, necessary access or excavation, parts and materials, suitable post-repair testing and a Trace & Access report. A 12-month workmanship warranty applies to the repair.
The £100 booking deposit is deducted from the total, leaving £1,245. Applicable tax is included. Decorative and remedial reinstatement, including restoring floors, plaster, paving and other finishes, is excluded. Commercial work is quoted separately. Read the complete package scope before arranging a visit.
Choosing the right method
One method that may be considered is controlled water-path checks. Examine how water use relates to intermittent fitting and bathroom leaks. The engineer selects the approach for the actual installation; no specific instrument is promised for every visit.
