What this can mean
Shower use activates several potential paths at once: supply pipework, waste connections and water moving across surfaces. The delay before moisture appears can be useful. Resealing every edge without checking the source can leave the original problem unresolved.
Useful observations
Describe how long after use the mark appears and whether other fittings cause it too. Record observations from ordinary use rather than intentionally recreating a damaging leak.
Before taking anything apart
Avoid repeatedly running the shower to test it when damage is developing. A waterproofing issue may need work beyond a pipe repair.
How to choose the next step
You can start with the symptoms without diagnosing the pipe. Our shower leak detection page explains the kind of investigation that may be appropriate. Describe what has changed and share any previous findings so the agreed scope addresses the unresolved problem.
Planning a residential visit
For agreed residential work, the £1,345 package connects specialist investigation with the plumbing repair. It includes detection and tracing, necessary access or excavation, parts and materials, suitable post-repair testing and a Trace & Access report. A 12-month workmanship warranty applies to the repair.
The £100 booking deposit is deducted from the total, leaving £1,245. Applicable tax is included. Decorative and remedial reinstatement, including restoring floors, plaster, paving and other finishes, is excluded. Commercial work is quoted separately. Read the complete package scope before arranging a visit.
