Understand the problem
A system can lose pressure without showing exactly where water is escaping. Suitable testing and isolation can help reduce a broad problem to a particular section. The result still needs interpretation alongside the pipe layout and conditions.
Use the test to ask a precise question
The engineer selects a suitable approach for the pipework and its condition. Temperature changes, connected components and isolation performance are considered. If a section needs further investigation, additional detection methods help focus the source.
What to prepare
Explain any known weak components, recent repairs and connected equipment. Installation details can help the engineer decide what can be tested safely and usefully.
Scope matters
Pressure testing is not a do-it-yourself instruction or a guarantee that every defect will appear during a short observation. The system-specific method is chosen on site.
Detection through to the plumbing repair
For agreed residential work, the £1,345 package connects specialist investigation with the plumbing repair. It includes detection and tracing, necessary access or excavation, parts and materials, suitable post-repair testing and a Trace & Access report. A 12-month workmanship warranty applies to the repair.
The £100 booking deposit is deducted from the total, leaving £1,245. Applicable tax is included. Decorative and remedial reinstatement, including restoring floors, plaster, paving and other finishes, is excluded. Commercial work is quoted separately. Read the complete package scope before arranging a visit.
Choosing the right method
One method that may be considered is pressure testing & isolation. Help establish which part of a plumbing system needs closer attention. The engineer selects the approach for the actual installation; no specific instrument is promised for every visit.
