First establish the job
An initial enquiry supplies the postcode, symptoms and property details. It is not a booking. The next stage is to establish that the address and requested work are suitable, then agree the appointment and applicable terms. This is when practical details such as shared access or water interruption should be raised.
The calculation is straightforward
For an agreed £1,345 residential package, the £100 booking deposit is part of the total, leaving £1,245. It is not an extra investigation charge. Commercial work has its own quotation and payment arrangements. Any proposed change in scope should be explained before additional work is authorised.
Keep the booking information
Before agreeing or paying for a visit, check the legal business details, scope, appointment, deposit and balance timing, cancellation and refund arrangements, and warranty process in the written booking confirmation. An enquiry does not reserve an appointment. No payment is taken on this website.
Keep these points in mind
- Confirm the appointment before payment
- Retain the written terms and receipt
- Raise access restrictions before the visit
This guide provides general preparation information. The right investigation depends on the property, its systems and the evidence available. For active flooding, electrical danger or an unsafe ceiling, seek urgent appropriate help rather than waiting for a routine appointment.
