What the method does
A small inspection camera can provide a view into some boxed-in areas or voids. It needs an appropriate entry point and a useful line of sight. Where those exist, images may add direct evidence about a pipe, water path or connection.
See what the opening actually allows
The camera may help distinguish a wet pipe from water passing nearby, or reveal a route that is not shown on a plan. Its view remains limited by the position of the opening, insulation and other obstructions. The findings are combined with testing rather than treated as a complete survey of the whole void.
Where it may be useful
- Accessible service boxing
- Selected spaces beneath suspended floors
- Inspecting near a suspected concealed connection
What it cannot establish on its own
The camera cannot see through solid materials and does not remove the need to create safe access for a repair.
Before the visit
Identify existing hatches and removable service panels. Leave fixed finishes in place until the engineer explains any proposed opening.
An investigation, not an equipment checklist
The most useful method is the one that answers the next question about your plumbing. A visit may combine observations and tests, or find that another specialist is needed. We explain the findings and proposed access before the agreed repair. Our package is defined by its scope, not by using every instrument.
